We were young when we started our company. Some of our members weren’t even 18 and the set attitude was stagnant and genealogy was something made by isolated, single researchers.
We were the first to think of genealogy in a professional way and as cooperation, combining several professional experiences to the potential of new technologies
We believe genealogy is meant for all, regardless of their age, lifestyle, nationality or location and we guarantee identical standards of diligence for all our services.
When a client orders a family tree, what do they receive? Where does research begin and end? When and how are services paid? It was these questions that drove us to develop, in 1995, a concept which had no rival worldwide, genealogy-as-a-product, which would come to be an international standard.
We believe in personalized services custom made to meet the client’s needs and expectations. We don’t think this is a product made up of sheets of paper with family trees. We created the Genealogy Certificate, where we make a detailed description of the research and the people we researched, as well as a detailed biography and genealogical relationships.
We believe genealogy serves several purposes – as many as the clients we have! – and we were pioneers in offering research services for cases of intestancy and nationality applications, and more recently in competitive intelligence and genealogical tracking services
We were the first Portuguese company to be affiliated to the Association of Professional Genealogists and to have a free and independent mediation service for our clients. We recently deepened our commitment to provide total transparency and loyalty to our clients, materialized in the principles of SmartGenealogy.
We believe genealogy can contribute to overcome hurdles in order to bring people together and foster creativity and tolerance. We started in-house. We left executive administration to the women of our team and launched or became members of projects to stimulate social entrepreneurship (E-Genealogy), gender equality (Genealogy-for-Women) and the preservation of heritage (document recovery).
